Romano Schmid opened the scoring in the 21st, curling a right-footed effort into the top corner off a Xaver Schlager pass — but it was the other Schlager, keeper Alexander, doing the heavy lifting before that, denying Al Tamari, Fakhoury and Olwan all in the first half. Jordan finally broke through right after the restart: Olwan punished a fast break in the 50th, set up by Noor Al-Rawabdeh, to level it at 1-1. It held until the 76th, when Yazan Al-Arab turned a routine clearance into his own net and handed the lead back to Austria. The killer blow came deep into stoppage time — Saleem Obaid conceded a penalty with a handball, VAR confirmed it after a review, and Marko Arnautovic buried it in the 90th plus 12 to make it 3-1. A clean, open match overall: just one yellow card all game, Marcel Sabitzer in the 77th.
