Bosnia came flying at Lumen Field — two shots on target inside three minutes before Alajbegovic drilled the opener into the top right corner at 29'. Dzeko hit the post in the 38th, and then Qatar keeper Abunada turned a rebound into his own net five minutes later to make it 2-0. Qatar hit back through Al-Haydos from close range at 42', assisted by Edmilson Junior, and the first half ended with more chaos: Pedro Miguel struck the woodwork twice in stoppage time. BIH replaced Dzeko with Mahmic at the hour, and the substitute did the job — right-footed finish from the centre of the box in the 80th to put it beyond doubt. He immediately picked up a yellow for celebrating too hard. Bosnia keeper Vasilj made two sharp saves in stoppage time to see it home. Bosnia finish third in Group B on 4 points and carry a shot at a best-third wildcard. Qatar are eliminated.
