Then Muñoz arrived — the same right back who'd scored Colombia's opener against Uzbekistan on matchday one, this time arriving late into the box and finishing cleanly to break the deadlock. Congo DR pressed hard in the closing stretch, with four efforts in the final ten minutes and injury time, but Colombia's backline held firm. Pickel, fresh off the bench, was booked in stoppage time; Lerma matched him a minute later as tempers frayed. Colombia are through to the knockouts.
