Ivory Coast needed a win to guarantee their place in the knockouts and got it without drama. Pépé opened things in the 7th, Yan Diomandé finding him in the box and the winger finishing cleanly at the near post. He then picked up a needless yellow in the 35th — a slight cloud over an otherwise composed afternoon. Sangaré set up the second in the 64th, feeding Pépé on the right side of the box; he curled it into the top left corner to complete his brace. Curaçao brought on subs in the final quarter and pushed with more urgency — Bacuna and Kastaneer both booked in the closing minutes for their trouble — but Ivory Coast's keeper Badra Ali Sangaré was barely tested. Pépé finished as the standout of the group stage for CIV. Ivory Coast second in Group E, through to the knockouts. Curaçao go home on one point.
