Czechia struck first. Krejcí got his head to Coufal's cross in the 59th and flicked it into the bottom right. Korea had been the better side — Lee Kang-In tested the keeper at 14', and Hwang and Lee Jae-Sung both went close around the hour. Hwang pulled Korea level in the 67th, a right-footed finish from the centre of the box off a Lee Kang-In assist. Then Klíma threw three subs on at once looking to hold it, but Korea responded: Oh Hyeon-Gyu came on for Son Heung-Min at 69' and, 11 minutes later, took a pass from Hwang and tucked it into the bottom left from close range. Czechia pushed hard at the end — Sadílek had a header and two shots on target in stoppage time — but Korea held on for a comeback win.
