Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, on early for an injured Julian Ryerson, broke the deadlock in the 43rd with a low right-footed finish. Erling Haaland made it two just after the break, finishing a slick Martin Ødegaard through ball on the counter. Senegal hit straight back through Ismaïla Sarr, set up by Sadio Mané, but Haaland answered five minutes later with a thumping strike off a Patrick Berg assist to put Norway 3-1 up. Senegal kept coming and got a deserved second through Sarr's brace in stoppage time, this one from Nicolas Jackson, but it was too little, too late. Norway hold on for a 3-2 win in a game that had goals from start to finish.
