Norway came to MetLife Stadium and completely controlled this game — 66% possession against Brazil. That shouldn't be possible. For 78 minutes neither side scored, though Alisson had to tip Haaland's left-footed shot around the top corner at 37', and Ødegaard's shot was saved in first-half stoppage time.

Haaland had actually missed from six yards at 67' — got his feet wrong from a corner and put it wide. Felt like Brazil might survive. Then Andreas Schjelderup swung a cross in from the right at 79' and Haaland got his head to it, bottom right corner. Norway 1, Brazil 0.
