Norway controlled large spells but needed a late Haaland goal to get through. Antonio Nusa opened the scoring in the 39th minute, a sharp right-footed finish to the top right corner set up by Ødegaard. Nusa picked up a booking in first-half stoppage time for a bad foul. Ivory Coast equalized through substitute Amad Diallo in the 74th — a tidy finish from the right side of the six-yard box, assisted by Pépé. But Norway had the last word: Haaland met a Patrick Berg pass in the 86th and rolled it through the centre of the goal. Norway through to the Round of 16.
