Declan Rice smashed one from distance at 3', Ezri Konsa headed home at 18', then Bukayo Saka took over — two goals before the whistle (37', 45'+1') sent England in 4-0 at the break. Both managers rotated heavily; it showed, just in England's favour.

France woke up after half time. Mbappé pulled one back at 48', then set up Barcola at 54' with a perfect through ball. Suddenly it was 4-2. Mbappé got his second at 66' and the comeback was genuinely on — France within one, the Miami crowd going wild. Saka's penalty at 87' settled it, or so it seemed. Dembélé pulled one back at 90'+6' to make it 5-4, briefly terrifying. Bellingham added a sixth in the 90'+8' to put it to bed.
